I have never criticized Bristol Palin nor will I. I do believe she is off limits but I disagree with Barack Obama that the story is off limits. However, if his "sister Soulijah" moment came at the expense of Inky and others who defended that diary (Of which I am one), then so be it. Remember, I am center-left and Obama is a moderate/progressive/centrist. We don't agree on everything.
I wish Bristol and her child the best. Despite what some RW wackos believe, there is no such thing as an illegitimate parent or an illegitimate child. If indeed Bristol has been pregnant for 5 months, then Trig is her brother and the matter is closed. While I will not apologize for speculating otherwise b/c the circumstantial evidence could have reasonably led to a different conclusion, and it shall be pointed out that the story broke in Alaska and not on Daily Kos, I do feel obligated to apologize for any hurt the speculation caused Bristol even though we were not the cause. This is one time I don't mind apologizing when I don't have to.
